From the garden to the plate
Sustainability and the respectful treatment of nature are very important to us. Especially, we as a family hotel, want the next generation to be able to reap the fruits that we sow.
For many years we have been cooperating with the Holsten farm in our region. Widdernhausen in our region to buy fresh vegetables for our guests.
Our own vegetable garden between the football field and paddocks is cultivated by ourselves and the area has already doubled in the second year. Among other things we grow runner beans, Bush Beans, Courgettes, Carrots, Hokkaido pumpkins and various potato varieties as well as herbs and edible flowers.
Freshly harvested and delivered to the kitchen
Jule harvests from our vegetable garden is brought directly into the kitchen - without transport routes - and processed there by our chefs to make it fresh and delicious dishes for our high-quality family buffet. So directly from the garden to your plate. By the way, the vegetable garden is not only used for catering, but is also part of our family programme.
Animals at Averbeck
The daily feeding of the small and large animals is always a highlight for your children. Animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks and chickens, goats, pigs and horses. Especially our cute mini pigs Hops and Huper have taken the kids straight to their hearts. We offer pony riding 3 times a week for all children form 2 years of age upwards.
